Custom Orders
Nearly all of our products are custom and personalized items. When you place an order for a custom product you may be contacted by us requesting you approve a draft of your order. We will not begin the creative process until we receive approval from you. However, if you have indicated that your order is urgent, we will complete your order without approval after 48 hours. If we do not obtain approval within 48 hours, your order will be placed in an inactive status and any products being held for your order will be placed back into inventory and available for others to purchase. After 72 hours we reserve the right to begin the order cancelation process to include authorizing a refund minus any applicable financial burden your order has incurred.
IF YOU HAVE INDICATED YOU WANT YOUR ORDER COMPLETED WITHOUT APPROVING ANY DRAFTS, YOUR ORDER WILL BE COMPLETED PROMPTLY AND THE ABOVE POLICY WILL NOT APPLY.
Warranty and Return Policy
Please note that we do not offer any specific warranty or guarantee on our custom products, except for defective items. All warranties regarding defective products are determined by the manufacturer and vary. Rest assured that issues of concern are extremely rare and will be handled on an individual basis. Our utmost priority is to ensure your satisfaction, and we will go above and beyond to make our customers happy.
We do not accept returns on any custom products, which includes any permanent changes made at the direction of the customer, or "special orders". However, for non-customized products, returns are accepted and a return authorization can be provided within 7 days.

Shipping Policy
LOCAL PICK UP AND DELIVERY
You can pick up your completed order in La Plata, Maryland -
We also provide local delivery in the surrounding area which is scheduled for one day a week or more depending on the workload demand. We can discuss this if you have any questions or need to schedule a delivery. There is a small delivery fee.
SHIPPING
We generally use the U.S. Postal Service
and UPS as a second alternative.

Orders are tracked and once a shipping label has been issued we will send you an email with the tracking number and link to check on the delivery status.
All claims of damaged goods must be reported to the shipping entity as required by their specific policy. We will assist as much as we can, however we are not permitted to make a claim for you.
Our goal is to ship your order within 1-3 days from the date you place your order and provide any final approval /authorization. From time to time, matters beyond our control can cause delays. For example, we use electricity to produce our products. If a storm or other issue causes a utility outage our orders may be delayed. We are a small company, thus the illness of our staff could cause a delay.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN
The products used to complete our custom, one-of-a-kind "JB Gibson" products are obtained from the United States, China, Japan, Mexico, Canada, and other countries.
QUANTITY
Each item is sold as an individual unit (ONE EACH).
SIZE - COLOR - FINISH
Sizes, colors, and finishes indicated on our website and other media are approximate and can differ between pieces even in an individual order.
Generally, we sell products that have either a GLOSS Finish or a MATTE Finish. Especially with slates because they are hand carved and finished these finishes can differ from piece to piece. A gloss finish is a superficial luster or shine. A matte finish is a nonreflective appearance or "dull".
Unless otherwise specified all garments or cloth products are a matte finish.
QUALITY CONTROL
We complete a quality control inspection on all products before being shipped. Please notify us within 24 hours of receiving your order if there is anything missing from your order.
FEEDBACK
Your feedback is encouraged for each product you purchase as well as your experience to include professionalism, effective communication, and other matters that make a difference to you when dealing with a company. Each item can be commented on in the e-commerce portion of our website. Company feedback can be found on our website. Comments are posted immediately and are not removed from the website unless requested by the author, or the comments are deemed offensive, false information, not applicable to JB Gibson Ventures LLC, or just plain rude or nasty. None of these situations have occurred, however, we have been advised to have this policy posted. We all know, that some folks enjoy being offensive or rude and none of us enjoy giving those kinds of people an audience.

DISCONTINUING THE SALE OF ANY ITEM
We reserve the right to immediately discontinue any item offered for sale on our website. This may occur without prior notice because of an issue with the product that causes a quality control issue, availability issues or other concern(s) deemed proactive to prevent potential concerns. This may be an issue with a specific shipment/supply of a product and may even be at the encouragement of the origin company, or a recall. This can include any product that we may have a contract to provide.
ERROR ON WEBSITE OR OTHER MEDIA
We are all human and make mistakes. We apologize now in the event any human error causes you distress or concern. Once an error is discovered or brought to our attention we will have the matter addressed as quickly as possible. We can not sell products at an unreasonable price. For example, if an error is made posting a product for sale for $1.00 and it is supposed to be $10.00.
